about me

currently
Starting in July, I will be working on ML for decoding raw thoughts from the brain on Neuralink's Conceptual Telepathy team.
Broadly, I want to understand the brain well enough to give people back the capacity for pursuing a meaningful life. I care about this immediately because of my own experiences with poor mental health, where I've felt, in a small yet visceral way, what it's like to lose that capacity.
There is this saying that I think about often: “May you live all the days of your life.” Therein lies an important implication that you may exist without really living, one that I believe neurotech can eradicate if done right.
Oh, and I'm growing The Victory Club , my favorite community of people. Join us for a workout :)

Co-founder and CTO @
Tilde Research
- Reverse-engineered LLM internals to inform fundamentally better architectures and training.
- Led engineering end-to-end: mech-interp tooling, pre/post-training, data systems at scale, and interactive launch sites.
- At 19, raised $8M from Khosla Ventures , BCV, and researchers at OpenAI and Anthropic.
Co-founder @ Hazel
- Deferred freshman year to build toward an AI real estate agent, starting with Siri for realtors (because I'd always wanted to make my mom's work easier).
- At 17, raised $2M (backed by Pear VC and others).
NLP research @ Stanford's Open Virtual Assistant Lab
- Pre-ChatGPT LLM research on synthetic data generation, applied to building Noora (a platform helping people with autism improve social conversation).
- First high-schooler to present to Stanford NLP Group (and guest speak at a CS grad class).
occasionally
To keep my inner child happy, I play basketball, draw, and build Star Wars LEGOs. I have three big dogs (German Shepherd, Labrador, Greyhound) who I love very much.
